Welcome to the Home Page of the I Corps of the Army of the
Mississippi. My name is Mark Adams and I assumed command of the I
Corps in June of 2005. My main duties are to maintain this page and
to keep track of who is still active in the club and who has had
real life intrude to much to continue.
I am 47 years
old and have been playing wargames since I was 15. My very first
wargame was Avalon Hill's Gettysburg. I am talking about the one
with squares instead of hexes. Talk about old. I got hooked on the
games of John Tiller when Battleground Gettysburg came out. I've
been hooked ever since and even began working for John Tiller making
these games we love to play. That's right ... every gamer's dream. I
make them and play them.
I also design
websites and substitute teach besides that. I am married to a very
supportive and forgiving woman. (Hi Honey, I Love You) She allows me
to do this work and play these games. We have 3 kids from her first
marriage and I have 2 from my second marriage. Only her three live
with us.
There are no
rules for the I Corps other than to make sure that you have fun. If
you are not having fun, please let me know if there is anything I
can do to rectify the situation. In any case, Welcome to the I Corps
and Long Live the Confederacy.
